Interview with The Port of Los Angeles


Over the summer, AFM Contract’s Andrew Chow was invited to be interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles new #1in9 segment.  “#1in9 is a new video series by the Port of Los Angeles, spotlighting some of its stakeholders…highlighting the different careers and industries supported by trade through the Port of Los Angeles and surrounding five-county region”.
Topics discussed in the interview breakdown working in the hospitality industry from a manufacturing standpoint, as well as operating a family owned business and how the Port of LA/ Long Beach impacts their business.

MNC World News interview with AFM Contract

Jakarta, Indonesia-  President of AFM Harry Chou was invited for an interview by MNC World News to be showcased on of their feature segments “Special Dialogue”.  “Special Dialogue” interviews professionals (formerly from Indonesia) from various industries to discuss their profession which in turn would enlighten and encourage fellow Indonesian viewers.



AFM Contract hosted a housewarming event on May 5th, 2017 to celebrate the company’s move to Pomona, California.  Previously, AFM was located at City of Industry, California where they were operating from a property space of 0.9 acres.  The Pomona facility now operates on 3 acres of land, and also represents the company’s growth and stability, as the new property is the first property purchased for AFM Contract.

As part of the housewarming program and to show homage to the company’s Indonesian roots, Pendet dancers showcased their traditional Balinese dance routine.

Honorable guests in attendance were US Representative 39th district- Ed Royce, Elisa Whaler, Alan DeSantis, Asst. Director of Trade Development at Port of  Los Angeles- Norman Arikawa, Consulate General of Indonesia, Los Angeles branch – Umar Hadi.
